Laurel and Tod Celebrating 50 years of Marriage by Traveling Around the World - 2025

Over half a century ago, in a tiny college town in Eastern Washington State, a couple of goofy kids met, fell in love, got married and against all odds achieved 50 years of matrimony (and counting!). Consistent in all those years was our shared love of travel yet our penultimate adventure to journey around the world invariably seemed like an unattainable dream. Yet, as luck would have it 2024 presented us with the opportunity to fulfill what had become just a fantasy. That is - fly to Singapore to board a ship for a 49 day voyage to Athens; fly from Athens to Frankfurt to visit with dear friends from years we lived there; then fly home to San Francisco.

So buckle up and follow what happens to those two (still) goofy (now) old age pensioners as we celebrate our life, our love and more happiness than either one of us could have imagined when we said “I do” on June 28, 1975.
